The Zoom Procedure
Our Zoom teeth whitening procedure is an efficient and effective way to achieve a brighter smile. It begins with a brief consultation, during which our experienced dental team assesses your oral health and discusses your lifestyle habits. This consultation ensures that Zoom teeth whitening is the ideal choice for you and helps us select the most suitable method or product.
The Zoom procedure typically takes less than an hour, making it a convenient option. Before the whitening session, we recommend a standard teeth cleaning to optimize results.
Application
We start by gently covering your lips and gums, exposing only your teeth. Our dental professionals apply the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel to your teeth. This gel, combined with the Zoom light, effectively penetrates your teeth and breaks down stains and discoloration. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the Zoom light is activated. During this time, you can relax, watch TV, or listen to music.
The gel is applied for three 15-minute sessions with light activation, totaling 45 minutes of treatment. If you have a strong gag reflex or experience anxiety, please inform us so we can accommodate your needs.
Immediately after the procedure, we apply a sensitivity-reducing fluoride paste-gel to your teeth.
Aftercare
To help you maintain the brilliance of your newly whitened teeth, we provide you with a Zoom home-use touch-up kit. Following our doctor's guidance, you'll know when and how to use this kit effectively.
For long-lasting results, we recommend avoiding or moderating the consumption of certain foods and beverages that can stain your teeth, such as tea, coffee, red wine, and cola. Smoking and tobacco products can also cause staining, even after whitening treatments, so quitting their use is encouraged. A consistent oral hygiene routine, including regular brushing and flossing, plays a vital role in preventing stains from reoccurring.
Your doctor may also suggest toothpaste containing whitening agents to help maintain the results of the Zoom teeth whitening procedure.
